Read the poem and guess what kind of animal it describes.

One could be a camel
Or one could be Mark Hamill
Or any animal with hair will do.

We feed our babies milk,
Have four limbs like our ilk.
We're vertebrates and homeotherms too.

We all must breathe in air
Like whales, that do have hair!
And all have complex brains as do you.

We're usually vivaporous,
But echidna and platypus
(The monotremes) still lay an egg or two.

We include the primates,
Canines, felines, ungulates
And marsupials such as the kangaroo,

Plus bats and bears and rodents,
Equines, pigs and edents
And pinnapeds, just to name a few!
